At The Cat's Miaou we have a great range of unusual brooches by British craftspeople. In fact many are made right here in Edinburgh. From pretty floral hearts and cute animals, to wooden skulls or Harris Tweed, we have something to suit all tastes and budgets.

Zixiao brooches

Cute animal, bird, heart and butterfly brooches by Zixiao Chang. From £6. We also have a large range of her earrings and pendants. Zixiao's work has been a bestseller since The Cat's Miaou began trading in 2009. She also designed our carrier bags.

Kat Hayes

Crazy fimo animals, gnomes, toadstools and weather symbols hand made in Edinburgh by Kat Hayes. We also stock her earrings, hairslides and cards.

Alexis southam

Bird brooches, earrings, and necklaces lovingly hand created by Alexis Southam. £7-£15. She is a local silversmith who lives just a few minutes walk from The Cat's Miaou. We have recently started stocking some of her sterling silver leaf studs and swallow necklaces.
